Interview with a StarBuilding accounting employee
We continue our series of short interviews with the StarBuilding team — stories about the people who build the company from the inside every day. Today we are talking with accounting employee Nadezhda Maslo: about her first working day, habits that give her energy, and why peace and order always reign in the accounting department.
First Day and First Lessons
— How did your journey in the company begin? Do you remember your first working day?
— I remember the weather was terrible. I came here and everyone liked me. They hired me and said: "Welcome to our team."
— What main advice would you give yourself on your very first working day?
— Not to be afraid. It was a little scary, but now — no, everything is wonderful.
— And what new things did you have to learn in the company that you didn't have to do before?
— A lot. But I've gained a little more patience — thanks to a well-coordinated team.
Work You Are Proud of Every Day
— If you had to explain to a five-year-old child what you do, how would it sound?
— I work like a bee — it's easy, and I buzz every day.
— What project, decision, or task are you most proud of during your entire time here?
— I am proud of every day I've worked. That I did my job — and went home with my head held high.
— What gives you your main energy boost and drive during work?
— Going to work is like a holiday.
— What is the most difficult thing in your work and how do you cope with it?
— Everything goes easily. Well, not everything, but gradually. There haven't been any impossible things so far.
Life Outside the Office
— What are you passionate about outside the office that your colleagues might not even think about?
— I dance, sing, and paint pictures.
— Without what ritual or habit does not a single working day start?
— Without a glass of water.
— And what is your most favorite song?
— "Samyy luchshiy den" ("The Best Day") by Leps.
— And what movie would you recommend to your colleagues as a must-see?
— "Bohemian Rhapsody".
The Team as a Squad of Superheroes
— If your team were a squad of superheroes, what power would you have?
— To get out of any situation with a smile. To turn some situations on a positive note. Negativity is definitely not about us.
— Recall the most curious or funny incident at work.
— Oh, they happen every day. Like when the chief accountant and I were limping — she broke her leg, and I was limping too. And the boss told us: "Oh, the accounting department is racing!" And we were also walking in step — it turned out completely awkwardly.
— Describe the working atmosphere in your company in just three words.
— I'll speak for the accounting department: calm, clarity, concentration.
Roles, Values, and Clients
— If you could swap roles with one of your colleagues for one day, what position would you choose and why?
— There are two options. The first is a driver: I love to drive, collected the documents, delivered them. The second is the director: I would like to be in this state of focus — three phones, four monitors, and knowing the answers to all questions. There is no time to think: either you answer immediately, or they won't call you back.
— What do you think is the main value of what our company creates?
— All our projects — that's what I value it for.
— And why do you think clients choose our company specifically?
— How could they not choose us — we build so precisely!
